The Skinhouse
The Skinhouse is a local business in Columbia, SC that opened in late August of 2023. My goal for this shoot was to capture what it truly feels like to experience one of their services. Being the calm atmosphere, friendly energy, and attention to detail that make the space so special. I wanted each photo to help potential customers picture themselves there, feeling relaxed and confident.
So during the shoot, I focused on telling a full story through my images. I mixed wide shots that showed the space, close-ups that highlighted the products and techniques, and candid moments that revealed the connection between clients and their Skintenders. My process was all about staying present and letting the natural flow of the appointment guide my camera, so the images would feel genuine.
I enjoyed learning about the business and was successful in capturing results that reflect what The Skinhouse stands for and gave a glimpse into what clients can expect when they visit the establishment.
